Welcome

The Virtual Klamath Basin is an ambitious project that will bring you a series of panoramic views of the Upper Klamath Basin in South Central Oregon, USA. A partner project is the Virtual Winema National Forest. The views will eventually be linked so that you can jump from one view to another by simply clicking on the place you want to go in the panorama you are viewing. For now, we simply offer a menu of panoramas from which you can choose. Before you begin your exploration, be sure you can see the small panorama to the right        

If the panorama is not visible, please go to www.apple.com/quicktime/download/, download and install the full, latest version of Quicktime for your computer. Please read and follow the directions carefully. Then, come back and reload this page. When you can see the panorama, try operating it by putting your mouse cursor on the picture, pressing your mouse button and dragging. As you drag, your view will rotate a full 360 degrees so you can see the WHOLE picture. Use the + and - buttons on the panorama controller to zoom in and out of the picture. Got it? Ok, start your exploration by choosing a panorama from the menu below. Use your "Back" button or the button on the panorama page to return to this menu for subsequent choices. Some of these panoramas are quite large, please be patient as it may take a minute or more for them to arrive at your computer.
