What has been happening in Klamath Falls?

In 2005 there were 22 subdivision applications for 535 lots. In 2006, so far, there have been 5 applications for another 386 lots. There are more than 10,000 lots in various stages of development. According to calculations by our local newspaper, the Herald and News, homes being built or proposed include:

  • 3,300 homes west of Klamath Falls along Highways 140 West and 66
  • 280 homes north and south of Oregon Institute of Technology
  • 1,525 homes north of Foothills Boulevard
  • 600 homes west of the Klamath County Sports Complex
  • 4,600 homes northeast of Klamath Falls from Foothills Boulevard to Highway 140 East
